Day 50. Look for the magic in everyday.

lifestyle

Good morning sweets! 💕 Day 50 already wahhhh! Time really does go by so quickly. We had a super early start to the day this morning, up & having breakfast at 7:30am & getting ready for a day with the in-laws who are coming to visit today. We’re also going to give them their Easter gifts which I’m really looking toward to. I’ll post some photos of what we got them below in this post. I actually came up with the idea of what to get both my mumma & mother in law, as I thought it was a more thoughtful gift opposed to just regular chocolate. I hope they both love it! Keep reading this post to find out what we got them! ✨

____________

Mondays food diary:

Breakfast – 200 Calories 🌸1 litre of water

Lunch – We had lunch in Nando’s today! We chose Nando’s as my inlaws hadn’t ever been before & also because we knew we could be relatively healthy. We both ordered the chicken Caesar salad which is 484 calories. I did get two sides of grilled halloumi & spicy olives so obviously it ended up being more calories but who cares. It was amazing! 🌸1 litre of water

____________

Dinner – Chocolate slimfast Shake – 204 Calories

___________

We had a really lovely day today! My inlaws loved their Easter present. We decided to get my mum and Tazmyns mum a photo frame each this year, & I think they look super cute! For my sister inlaws, we got them an Easter egg each from our favourite place on Earth, M&S of course! 💕__________

We’re going to do face masks & watch 24 hours in police custody tonight! Only 4 sleeps until our official second monthly weigh in! I’m so excited.

Lots of love,

Today we have Rory’s birthday party so expect lots of pictures throughout this post.. my uncles wife is also doing a Thai buffet, so I’ll take photos of the lovely dishes she makes too! Day 16. The most reliable way to predict the future is to create it 🌻🍂💫

lifestyle

A few of you have told me that since documenting my new healthy eating lifestyle on the blog, you’ve started your own healthy eating journey too & I love that! Whether you’re following a particular diet plan or making up your own along the way, I think any positive change you make has got to be a good thing. My goal and main source of motivation is our holiday to Turkey in 3 months time. I’d love to lose 3 stone by then, but anything close to that, I’ll be happy with. I definitely think it helps to have something to work towards but for health reasons alone, thats more than enough motivation I need.

Today is the anniversary of my nans death, she died 19 years ago but it still feels like yesterday in my mind. I can’t believe I have lived more of my life without her than I did with her and there isn’t a day that goes by that she’s not still with me in some way. Wherever you are today Nonna, I hope you’re still singing in Italian, with the biggest smile on your face. I love you 💗

Day 11. Starve your distractions, feed your focus. 💫💛

lifestyle

Pinterest is my absolute go to at the moment, if anyone is struggling or needs a little midweek boost, Pinterest is your place to be. My camera roll is literally full of motivational quotes and photos and I find them so helpful! Change your wallpaper on your phone, stick a picture on your fridge, hang an outfit in a smaller size up on your wardrobe, put sticky labels on your cupboards, watch motivational YouTube videos, or a personal recommendation of mine.. watch my 600lb life, it is without a doubt the most motivating thing I’ve ever seen! Do what works best for you, and remember cravings are temporary and temptation is nothing that your mind can’t control. Keep your end goal at the front of your mind but enjoy the journey because this isn’t a quick fix or a race, it’s a lifestyle change so you need to adapt it to work for you. If you need sweetener in your porridge, do it, if you have to have milk in your drinks, do it, if you are struggling with your daily water intake, try flavoured sugar free water instead, if the sun is shining, walk somewhere instead of using a car, if you don’t like exercise, run up and down your stairs a few times morning and night. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Anything is possible if you’ve got enough nerve.

Breakfast – Skinny cappuccino & coconut milk porridge with frozen berries.. (using coconut as an alternative to regular milk is much lower in calories and sweeter too!) – 250 calories

Halloween Haul

lifestyle

It’s more of a mini haul really because we haven’t gone overboard this year.. but who doesn’t love to decorate their house or room at any time of year?! So thought I’d share with you the bits and bobs we have got. It’s also my baby cousin Rory’s first Halloween in the UK since he was born in Thailand, so a lot of these bits are more so for him than us ☺️

Going to start with these super cute mini pumpkins. Adorable aren’t they? £1 each from Waitrose and I love that they have white ones too. Perfect if you’re doing a little Halloween display.

Halloween crackers! I absolutely had to get these because I thought they were super cute, especially for my little cousin too. £1 Poundland

Tealight holders – love them, and you can never have too many. £1 each from Poundland

How cool are these ghost shaped crumpets from Asda? Great if you have little ones and want to give them a spooky breakfast! £1 so really cheap.

Spooky giant marshmallows from Aldi, I think these were about 79p so really really cheap, and again brilliant if you’re entertaining or having a party this Halloween. My wife loves marshmallows, me not so much unless they’re in my hot chocolate!

Sweet/Candy bucket. I thought this would be cool to put on the table and fill with crackers etc. Again this was just £1 from Poundland.

Halloween cupcakes! Do I need a reason? £2 from Sainsbury’s, and these are definitely just for Tazmyn and I 😋

Don’t judge me!! But obviously when I saw this novelty pet Halloween dress up cape from Poundland, it had Gracie’s name all over it. She’s going to be our little pumpkin this year. £1 – you all need to get one of these for your little fur babies. As you can see, Gracie is modelling it in the picture for you all too 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🎃

Chocolate lollies! 10 of these in a pack for 99p from Aldi. I thought these were great to just put in bowls with other sweets as well.

Like I was going to leave bath and body works out? Don’t be silly. Bath and body works is my absolute favourite candle brand, and it annoys me so much when people say you can’t get hold of them in the UK – babes I’m born and bred from the UK and I’ve been buying them for 10 years. I get all mine from eBay, and I’ve never spent more than around £18-20 per candle, which in my eyes is very much worth it. This one is the updated version of sweater weather’ which is another must have from bath and body works. It smells amaaaaaaazing😍😍

& Finally, our little Halloween display in our bedroom.. the pumpkin fairy lights are about £1 from Poundland, I got them last year so thought I’d put them to use again, going to put some around the downstairs TV as well I think.. I still need to get some bunting and some more sweets, also some larger pumpkins for us to carve!

I hope you’ve enjoyed his haul, what are your Halloween plans? Do you decorate? What about dressing up? That’s not my scene, but I know lots of people dress up and attend parties etc at this time of year. As always, let me know💛

Random acts of kindness

lifestyle

In a world where you can be anything, always choose to be kind. 🙏🏻💓🌿✨

Here are some of my favourite ideas for random acts of kindness, we could all do from time to time, which are small to us, but will mean a lot to another person.

1. Buy coffee for the person behind you in the line
