Day 49. Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come.

lifestyle

Hello everyone 🌸 I hope you’re all well. Apologies for not posting yesterday, it was kinda a write off. I slept most of the day, after throwing up all of Friday night. I think it’s safe to say red meat doesn’t like me, however much I love it. Sometimes I think I forget I don’t have a gallbladder anymore & my body can’t take as much as it once could. I hate being sick, I get super bad headaches & really emotional. Anyways, today’s a new day & the sun is shining ☀️ We’re off to meal plan in costa & I’m going to have a sunbed too! That’ll sort me right out.

I’m so very thankful for my amazing wife. I couldn’t love her more. We are the strongest we have ever been, the most content we have ever been and happier than we’ve ever been. I am the luckiest girl in the world.

Day 35. Happy mummy’s day 🌸

lifestyle

To all mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters and cousins out there today, but most importantly my mother inlaw, my uncles wife and my lovely mum, happy mummy’s day! I hope you’ve been spoilt all day long and appreciated for all that you do for us! 💗

My poor mama works flat out every year for Mother’s Day, being a florist definitely takes a toll on her, ensuring all the other mums have beautiful flowers for this special day. She’s even working today! But I can’t wait to see her later.

What did you do today?

___________

Day 32. Chase your purpose & success will follow.

lifestyle

Quote of the day:

” Direction is so much more important than speed. Some are going nowhere fast”

__________

Good morning! How are you today? Tazmyn told me yesterday that one of my tops now looks like a dress on me, so I think that’s indication I’m going in the right direction and losing weight! I can’t wait until our next weigh in, it feels like ages away but I know it’ll come around before I know it! We started our morning by listening to some Ariana Grande today & doing two loads of laundry. Is there anything better than an empty laundry basket though?! I’ve gained quite a few more Instagram followers recently, so if you want to keep up with what I eat/do each day, definitely pop me a follow on there and I’ll follow back! Between this, insta and Pinterest, there’s no way I will fall off track, I find them all such good sources of inspiration! What inspires you?

Thursdays food diary:

___________

Breakfast – 200 Calories 🌸 what do you have on your porridge? We find granola sprinkled on top gives it a really nutty texture and makes it a lot more filling. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. 1.5 litres of water 💦

____________

Lunch – Today we had our first lunch out in 5 weeks! To us that’s definitely a huge thing! We used to go out for lunch at least twice a week so today it felt like a real treat. We went for a healthy option though, jacket potato and chilli which was 476 Calories1 litre of water

__________

We spent the afternoon shopping in Bracknell. 5 weeks ago, we’d have gone to Bracknell for a Zizzi lunch which consisted of a whole American hot pizza each followed by pudding. We’d skim primark for 10 minutes and that would be it, we’d be too tired and feel sluggish so didn’t look in any shops! Now though, we have so much energy and we looked in so many shops! I even treated myself to some new sunglasses in River Island for our holiday in June! We’re definitely loving this new burst of energy we both have and can’t wait for many many more shopping trips in the future! 💓

________

Dinner – I just made us some scrambled eggs on toast for dinner this evening to fill us up, which was 262 Calories – that includes two slices of whole meal toast. 1 litre of water 🌸

__________

Total daily calorie intake: 938 Calories

Day 31. Once you see results, it becomes an addiction 🌸✨

lifestyle

Quote of the day:

“Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire universe can do a better job of being you than you”

What happened to the beautiful sunshine we have been lucky enough to have the past couple of days? It seems to have disappeared 😫☀️ Still, we are as motivated as ever and it’s already half way through another week! I hope you’re all doing well and smashing your own personal goals! Today started off by breakfast, whilst listening to some Kehlani. How did you start your day? ✨

_________

Wednesdays food diary:

Breakfast – we added yet another topper to our porridge this morning! So as usual, porridge made with coconut milk, topped with frozen raspberries, granola, chia seeds, and today we added flax seeds into the mix also! All this and my cup of tea, for 200 calories ☕️🥥💓 btw, how cute is my new mug? It’s from the Fox & Ivy range at Tesco and had my name all over it! 1 Litre of water 💦

___________

Lunch – Nero lunch today! Skinny cortado and my usual shake at 204 Calories ☕️💁🏻‍♀️1 Litre of water

We went to a super cute little tearoom today called strawberry grove. It was hard to resist all the yummy homemade cakes on offer but we did, and enjoyed our big pot of tea instead! ✨

____________

Dinner – Tazmyn made dinner this eve! It was a new recipe of homemade spicy Mexican bean burgers, homemade chunky chips and a big salad! It was absolutely amazing and at 334 Calories it felt like SUCH a treat to have a burger! If anyone wants the recipe let me know and I’ll pop it on the blog! 💓1 litre of water 💦

Pudding – Strawberry jelly – 10 Calories

____________

Total daily calorie intake: 748 Calories ✨

– Again tonight, I’ll have my usual cup of tea in bed and either a little Tesco cereal bar at 63 calories or two chocolate covered rice cakes! There’s really good TV tonight and I’m a sucker for the mummy diaries!

Sending you all lots of love,

Sinéad x

Day 27. Choose to be optimistic, it feels better 🌸

lifestyle

I can’t remember the last time we had a duvet day. We’re always so busy and our days are pretty much filled up each week, but today we’re having a much needed day on the sofa. I’m currently dying from stomach cramps, I feel so rubbish, so we’ve bought the duvet down to the sofa and planning on staying in our pyjamas all day! Hopefully I’ll be feeling a little better tomorrow as we are planning a day in Windsor shopping, and a walk along the river. My mums doing Sunday dinner too which is always a good thing in my eyes! What are your plans this weekend? ✨

____________

As always, my daily food diary:

Breakfast – porridge, frozen raspberries and chia seeds – 200 Calories 💕2 Litres of water

__________

Lunch – Slimfast chunky chocolate shake at 204 calories, and a little bag of sweet & salty popcorn at 68 Calories 💛1 litre of water 💦

________

Dinner – I dragged my lazy bum off the sofa and made us our weekly Saturday night treat of homemade chicken kebabs & salad! This was actually Tazmyns meal she cooked but according to her, I make better chicken so we’ve switched job roles 🤣💓 This is one of our absolute favourite meals though, we used to be spending so much money on ordering kebab takeaways and this is a cheaper, healthier and actually better alternative! – 389 Calories

Pudding – Strawberry jelly (sugar free) – 10 cals

_______

Total daily intake – 871 Calories

Also, just wanted to add.. a few people have asked me how I’m “surviving on 1,000 calories or a little less per day.. the answer is really simple, it’s easy! I have huge dinners in the evening, we never go for the boring option, we’re always mixing up our meals and trying new things. Breakfasts are getting a little repetitive but porridge is super filling and keeps me full until lunch! The only reason I CHOOSE to have a slimfast shake at lunchtime is because I like restricting myself a little bit. It’s for personal reasons, and wouldn’t work for everyone but I love having a shake at lunch, it’s more than enough for me. Coffees and hot drinks also help keep me full and I also drink at least 3 litres of water a day which again, fills me up so I’m never hungry. Calorie counting is working for me but like I say, I think it’s all about finding something that works for you and your lifestyle and something that you can do long term rather than a quick fix. We love mealplanning at the weekend and thinking of new recipes! Food = love in my opinion, and just because we’re healthy eating now, doesn’t mean we don’t love eating together. We do, but there’s just more salads now! 💁🏻‍♀️

Lots of loveeee,

Day 22. Happiness blooms from within 🌸

lifestyle

Good morning lovelies! It’s Monday again, I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are ready for a brand new week ahead! My coffee is extra strong this morning and I’ve got my positive pants on, ready to smash this final week on plan before our first monthly weigh in next Monday! Eeeeek, it’s come around SO fast! I thought I’d really miss not weighing in weekly and this first month would drag on forever but it really hasn’t! I’d recommend monthly weigh ins to anyone, and wish I’d done them sooner! I’ve been able to gain results within myself from how much better I’ve been feeling opposed to living by what the scales say! ☀️

_________

Monday’s daily Intake:

Breakfast – 219 Calories 💕

1 litre of water 💦

__________

Lunch – 204 Calories In case you haven’t figured it out by now, cortado’s are my favourite ☕️✨

1 Litre of water

___________

Dinner – I made dinner tonight and it was seriously good! We decided to try out red lentil pasta for a change, it’s quite pricey compared to regular pasta but it’s ALOT lower in calories and tasted amazing! I added some reduced fat pesto and some peas, and cooked some seasoned chicken breasts too! Seriously best combo! This may become a regular dinner in the Chalke household 😍 – 353 Calories

1 litre of water 💦

No pudding tonight, might have some rice cakes with a cup of tea later whilst watching 24 hours in police custody! 🙈

Total daily calorie intake: 776 Calories

• Weekly Meal Plan •

lifestyle

Our weekly meal plan has been done a day early this week, as we have Rory’s birthday party tomorrow so won’t have time to sit and plan meals and write a shopping list etc! I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, planning is so key when trying to eat more healthily! If we didn’t plan I’m sure we would really struggle.

_____________

Monday – Red lentil pasta with pesto and seasoned chicken breasts – 353 Calories.

Tuesday – Linda McCartney red pepper & chorizo sausages, swede mash, sweetcorn and peas – 263 Calories.

Wednesday – Teriyaki chicken with sesame vegetables – 359 Calories.

Thursday – Chicken fajitas in lettuce wraps with couscous – 245 Calories.

Friday – Vegetable lasagne & salad – 321 Calories.

Saturday – Homemade chicken kebabs & salad – 389 Calories.

__________

What does your meal plan for the week look like? Do you have some favourites that you just have to have once a week? For us, it’s definitely our Saturday night chicken kebabs! It feels like such a treat meal, even though it’s much lower in calories than an actual kebab takeaway! 🙈
